A Recipe for Taking Care of Myself So I Can Be A Healthy Muslophobe

Recently, I tried a gluten-free diet in hopes of alleviating allergy-like symptoms I experience on a daily basis.

But, after 10 $6 loaves of gluten-free bread and many expensive trips to Earth Fare (Not many card carrying NRA members pushing grocery carts among the alfalfa puffs cereal boxes.), I gave up this latest health phase.

However, in my continuing pursuit to take care of myself, I have strong empirical evidence from a golfing buddy that flaxseed oil capsules help elevate the good cholesterol levels. So, I 've started a regimen of flaxseed oil.

And, speaking of flaxseed, I now add flaxseed meal to my scrambled eggs. First, I put 2 tsp into the frying pan with 1 tblsp of Smart Balance. Once the meal has browned a bit, I add to eggs, scramble and cook.

And, here's a double-whammy health drink:

(We use recycled water bottles)

Put about 17 ounces of water into a 20 ounce water bottle
Add 10 drops of Stevia
Add 1 tbsp of ground flaxseed (you'll need a funnel for this)
Shake
Fill the bottle with unsweetened, organic cranberry juice.
Shake.

Ok, yes, this is an aquired taste and requires a trip to the health food store (where I have my son where his "Peace Through Superior Airpower" shirt), but the cranberry juice and flaxseed make this the elixir of life!

So, this is how I maintain my health, so I can continue my Muslophobe rant.
